Fractional Product Leadership

Turning complexity into products people love.

For founders running product themselves, and product leaders stretched too thin. I embed in your team and own the work: research, PRDs, UX, delivery.

01The Gap

Sound familiar?

You're the founder, and the default PM.

Every feature decision lands on your desk. Users are talked to when there's time, which is never. The roadmap lives in your head, and it's capping the product.

You're the Head of Product, doing three jobs.

You know exactly where the product needs to go. Strategy, stakeholders, board. What you don't have is hours: for the research, the PRDs, the follow-through that turns direction into shipped work.

Neither of you needs another full-time hire. You need senior hands, now.

02How It Works

Inside your team, not advising from the sidelines.

Sometimes it's end-to-end delivery, sometimes it's the strategy itself. I step in where your team needs me, in your tools, and I own outcomes.

01

Diagnose → See it clearly.

UX audit, KPI review, user research. You get a full map of where the product loses people, and where the money leaks.

02

Prioritize → Decide what matters.

Roadmap, specs, trade-offs. A ranked plan with a rationale you can defend to anyone in the room.

03

Deliver → Ship the outcome.

PRDs, user stories, execution with your designers and developers. The work gets built, and the metric moves.

In real life: Ongage.

At Ongage, the Head of Product had the strategy covered and zero time for everything underneath it. So we split the work: he kept strategy and stakeholders, I took user research, PRDs, and feature delivery, embedded with the team.

"Tanya has a rare ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, translating business and customer needs into clear, actionable product decisions that engineering and design can move on confidently."

Hi, I'm

Tanya Rofman

I turn tech chaos into products people love.

20 years across tech, finance, SaaS, B2B, B2C, small startups and big organizations, 12 building products, 8 deep in finance. If people use it, I've probably broken it and fixed it. That's the gap I close: where the product stops making sense fast enough.

05FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is a fractional product manager?

A fractional product manager is an experienced PM who works with your company part-time or on a retainer basis, giving you senior product leadership without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire. At Velonova, that means strategy, roadmapping, UX research, and execution embedded into your team.

How much does a fractional product manager cost?

Velonova's fractional product leadership starts at $5,000/month. This covers full product strategy and roadmap ownership, weekly sprints, UX research, user interviews, PRDs, and stakeholder alignment. Career mentorship is a five-meeting sprint at ₪2,500 (~$850).

Who is Velonova for?

Velonova works with SaaS companies and startup teams that need senior product leadership but aren't ready for, or don't need, a full-time PM hire. Engagements range from early-stage startups to scaling B2B and B2C products.

What does a Velonova engagement look like?

Engagements follow three phases: Diagnose (UX audit, KPI review, user research), Prioritize (roadmap, specs, trade-offs), and Deliver (PRDs, execution, outcomes). Structured enough to scale, flexible enough to fit your team's reality.

Does Velonova work remotely?

Yes. Velonova works remotely with companies worldwide. Tanya Rofman is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, and has worked with teams across Europe, the US, and Israel.

Can Velonova help with UX research and user interviews?

Yes. UX research and user interview facilitation are a core part of the fractional PM engagement, including research planning, interview guides, synthesis, and translating findings into product decisions.

Does Velonova build websites?

Yes. Velonova builds story-driven websites, written with you and live in 2-4 weeks. A landing page with full SEO setup is $1,800 to $3,300 and a full website, up to 10 pages, is $3,500 to $7,500, both one-time prices with SEO and AI-search built into every page. After launch, an optional care plan is $49/month. See examples at velonova.io/websites.

What does Velonova's career mentorship include?

Velonova's career mentorship is a five-meeting 1:1 Full Sprint at ₪2,500 (about $850), for anyone stuck in a job search, not just product people. It covers market mapping and positioning, research of 15-20 real job postings, a master CV with tailored versions for real openings, a LinkedIn profile, outreach templates, and a weekly search routine, with WhatsApp availability throughout. A single focused 90-minute meeting is ₪600.
